Ceramic Inspection
Defects in ceramic titles are difficult to detect as they are 3-dimensional and micro-sized. In addition, the camera may also produce noisy images in a highly dusty environment.
Common Defects
Some of the common defects caused during ceramic production are cracks, oil stains, bumps, rough surfaces and clipped corners.
The Solution
A dark field illumination was placed in order to enhance and detect 3D defects. While a laser profiler was installed to scan micron level defects along with a combination of an ironizationer and blower.
